Statement from the WACA Chair:

At the Wadsworth Area Community Assets Limited AGM on Tuesday 19th May 2026, the new WACA Board of Directors was appointed by unanimous vote, giving us a clear mandate to serve the Wadsworth community.

The Board has since elected the officers, including a non-director Society Secretary (as allowed in our Rules), and has co-opted a further director to assist with a specific aspect of our work.

Directors: Daniel Fowler, Lisa Parker, Helen Plaice (chair), Nigel Sagar (treasurer), Jenny Slaughter, Dylan Wilby.

Co-opted Director: Matt Fernee.

Society Secretary (non-director role): David Salcedo.

This is a crucial time for WACA in driving our community projects forward.

I believe this new board has great capacity to work at a strategic level as well as being a dynamic group of people who will get things done.

I’d like to thank outgoing Directors Vanessa Barry, Bill Black, Julia Brady, Steven Dole and Zoe Rogerson for their work – each has contributed significantly and each has made a difference.

And thank you to WACA Members for their strong mandate and ongoing support.
